“12 Things About Jennifer O’Regan”
Confessions of a Bookaholic

1.    I shoot a mean three-pointer!

2.    Prior to moving to Washington, DC, my husband and I resided in Newport, RI.

3.    We were married in Newport as well and our wedding song was "Lucky"--which is indicative of how I feel pretty much every day. ;)

4.    I walk my dogs, sans makeup, donning a ballerina bun and printed pajama pants. Here's hoping none of my neighbors feel the urge to Instagram my fashion choices one of these mornings.

5.    My all-time favorite movie is The Shawshank Redemption.

6.    I am not a fan of confined spaces. Subsequently, I'm a terrible flyer. (Think Kristin Wiig in Bridesmaids.)

7.    Most nights you can find me nestled on the couch with my hubby and our fur babies, Annabelle and Allie.

8.    My iPod contains everything from Bruno Mars to Sia to Jason Mraz.

9.    I am a voracious reader but I have been known to binge watch good TV (Better Call Saul, House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, True Detective).

10.The Wounded Warriors Project is a charity near and dear to my heart. I'm running an 8K in support of our veterans this summer.

11.A four-year-old girl in Starbucks once mistook me for Queen Elsa of Arendelle. You might say she's my celebrity doppelgänger.

12.I am a roller coaster junkie. I have ridden some of the tallest and fastest coasters in the world--including this bad boy at Cedar Point.

  11. Something about me? I'm 23. I became a mom at 16. I have a 7 year old daughter and 5 year old son. I love them with my whole heart. I married my husband (who's the father of my children and my high school sweetheart) last year on 12-13-14. I love our life. We just bought a new car, I graduated college last year, and most of our days are filled with adventures with our kids, ballet & tap classes, movie nights, ice cream dates, and generally loving life. Oh and we are all avid bookworms! My kids and I could lose an afternoon shopping in a bookstore! <3

  21. I always enjoy reading your blogs. As a mother of a 2 1/2 year old and baby number 2 on the way, I don't get as much free time to read as I would like. But I have purchased so many books from reading your posts that I will make sure I finish. Sometimes it can take me over a month to finish a book, but at least my mind is at ease knowing I finally finished! I'm so glad my son loves to be read to, makes his reading time enjoyable for both of us. Thank you!

  23. This is an awesome interview! I am a huge fan of Jennifer as she seems to be one of the kindest, most generous people I have ever come into contact with (virtually that is...I haven't met her but I have a feeling we would get along great!). Your blog has also become one of my favorites to follow....so two for one today :)!

Okay, let's see....something about me...hmmmmm.....this is hard! Okay okay....I am obviously a huge reader as I follow both of you, but when I'm not reading or doing all those things in life we have to do, I also really like to cross stitch. I've been doing that since high school and given my choice activities my husband says I'm like a young old lady :)! I also love to binge watch great TV shows (I just finished all the seasons of Mad Men on Netflix so I'm excited to watch the last season that just came out). Thanks for this incredible giveaway!

  29. I used to love reading, but it fell by the wayside when I went back to school & in the middle of that had a baby. Baby is now 4, school is over and I'm getting back into it... slowly. It's hard to read a book, kick a soccer ball, play candy land and watch Jake & the neverland pirates at the same time... unless it's Dr. Seuss. :)

  38. Even though I was born in Iowa and spent half of my life growing up there, I consider Florida my home as that is where I really grew up aka matured. I am all for the small town living (for raising a family) but I do not like snow and I love the big city with endless opportunities. I pass on a lot of opportunities because I don't want to go where it snows LOL I love my sunshine!

  44. While "Shawshank" definitely is among my favorite films, I lean more toward screwball comedy. My all-time favorite movie is "Some Like It Hot," and visiting the Hotel Del Coronado was the highlight of my visit to San Diego two years ago. My favorite memory is sitting in one of the common areas of the Del's ocean towers building and (from hundreds of miles away from home) nailing the telephone job interview my employer had granted ... I was offered the promotion the next morning and love my new position!

Jenny, I love reading & roller coasters, too! I love riding so much that my first question to my cardiologist after I had to have a pacemaker put in was, "Will I still be able to ride the roller coasters?" Thankfully she said "yes!".

  48. The Shawshank Redemption is awesome. My husband and I watch it often. Great acting. Another one I really like is The Green Mile. I love the group name of Book Sisters. As I don't have a sister, sharing the love of books with other women is the next best thing. I used to love roller coasters, but I don't enjoy it any more. I don't enjoy flying, either. It feels too much like being in a can of sardines. There's always someone practically in my lap. I do love road trips, though. I would love to drive across the country someday. Love you guys--my top three bloggers are Confessions of a Bookaholic, Book Mama and Chick Lit Central. Thank you!

  51. I've always loved reading. I own more than 1200 books (and that is after donating books I don't plan to read again!) and approximately the same number of ebooks. My "habit" got much worse than it had been when I had to stop working due to a disability. My service dog doesn't like it when I pick up a book or my tablet. She knows it is going to be a while before I come back to reality, so she just goes and lays down in her bed (I do spend a lot of time with her, but she makes it look like she is a neglected dog :( ).
