Before I Let You Go - Release day giveaway

The 2:00 a.m. call is the first time Lexie Vidler has heard her sister’s voice in years. Annie is a drug addict, a thief, a liar—and in trouble, again. Lexie has always bailed Annie out, given her money, a place to sleep, sent her to every kind of rehab. But this time, she’s not just strung out—she’s pregnant and in premature labor. If she goes to the hospital, she’ll lose custody of her baby—maybe even go to prison. But the alternative is unthinkable.

As the weeks unfold, Lexie finds herself caring for her fragile newborn niece while her carefully ordered life is collapsing around her. She’s in danger of losing her job, and her fiancĂ© only has so much patience for Annie’s drama. In court-ordered rehab, Annie attempts to halt her downward spiral by confronting long-buried secrets from the sisters’ childhoods, ghosts that Lexie doesn’t want to face. But will the journey heal Annie, or lead her down a darker path?

Both candid and compassionate, Before I Let You Go explores a hotly divisive topic and asks how far the ties of family love can be stretched before they finally break.

The Secret to Southern Charm - Release week review & giveaway

Review by Melinda Garza
In Kristy Woodson Harvey's The Secret to Southern Charm we meet Sloane and her family. Sloane is one of three sisters. Her sisters are Caroline and Emerson. She is the quietest of the three but the most intuitive. Slone is married to Adam and they have two very young boys, AJ who is three and Taylor who is six months. Adam has always been her rock and her home. He is a strong and loyal Srgt 1st class soldier. While deployed, Adam goes MIA. Going MIA, Sloane and the boys stay with her mom, Ansley, in Peachtree Bluff, GA.

Sloane's world crumbles after Adam goes missing. Her family becomes very supportive of her as she cannot even get out of bed and care for her boys. She actually stays in her room for 34 days before coming out. Ansley is Sloane's biggest helper despite Ansley having to still care for her own mom who is sick with cancer and does not have long to live.  Ansley has a secret she has kept all of the girls lives and fears it will come to light during this ordeal.

Sometimes the truth is hard to swallow but with everyone's support and love, they are all able to love, encourage, and give each other the strength they each need. They chase their dreams, face their fears, and take leaps of faith.

Through all this Sloane believes the secret to southern charm is having a brave face, carrying on, helping others, being kind and humble, giving to others, and believing with all your heart that the world could be a better place and maybe she could make it that way.

This story shows us how missed opportunities and second chances occur for everyone and once the truth is found, change happens.
