Three
groups of teenagers, from different states, attend a movie screening of the
comic book series Eons & Empires. Over
the next twenty years, their lives intertwine in ways that results in a
captivating plot. You will see them
transition from immature teenagers to angry, broken adults who have to deal
with much heartache and loss.
The tone
of this book is more dark and sad than the typical books that I read. However, the author does an amazing job telling
the story that I was captivated throughout the entire book. As events happen, there is this strong
intensity that draws you in and holds you hostage until the very end.
With a
cast of unforgettable characters you will not soon forget, In Some Other World, Maybe will take you on an emotional roller
coaster, but will leave you rooting for the characters despite their flaws and
setbacks.
I found
this book to be an enjoyable read that showcases a unique view of the
connections of family and friendships.
But it was the complex cast of characters who continuously delivered
dialogue that was so emotion packed and real that it was nearly impossible to
put this book down.
