The Other Side of the Bridge - Review

Ava, who has recently lost everything, receives a surprise inheritance from her Grandmother Sophia.  This surprise comes at a good time and Ava leaves her home in England and heads to her grandmother’s home in rural Greece.  Ava has no idea what she will find once she arrives, but as she comes into the rural area she is faced with the small farmhouse her grandmother has left her.  The town has an older community and where she is mistaken for her grandmother.  Ava does not know too much of her grandmother’s time there in Greece, so she begins to do some digging.

This is a story with an old world charm, I felt the story between Ava and Sophia was so seamless.  I found myself feeling the magic of the two generations in the telling of this story.  Ms. Swartz has done a wonderful job merging present day to World War II era.

I highly recommend this historical romance; you will not be sorry traveling down these paths.

After spending three years as a diehard New Yorker, Katharine Swartz now lives in the Lake District in England with her husband, their five children, and a Golden Retriever.
