Review by Marlene Engel
Kaylie Snow is pregnant and unused to her body’s physical and emotional changes. She has always been the type of girl to catch the attention of every guy in the room. Now that her belly is bulging and her hormones are in overdrive, she doesn’t even recognize the person she has become. Not to mention, her once promising singing career has hit a snag. Places that have booked her in the past are currently turning her down. Meanwhile, her sister, Danica, who has always been the proper and professional one has been taking risks with her career and her love life. And their mother, who Kaylie has had limited communication with since finding out that she stayed with their father after discovering about his affair, has had a drastic makeover and is in the dating scene again. Kaylie is used to being the center of attention and is now feeling like the ugly duckling. And when did her sister and mom’s lives get more exciting than hers?
At least
Kaylie has Chaz, her hunky fiancé and father to her unborn baby. He is not only easy on the eyes, he’s a
successful business man and also happens to be madly in love with Kaylie. However, a secret from his past has
resurfaced and is threatening to potentially destroy everything he’s worked so
hard at achieving in life and love. Will
Chaz be able to come clean to Kaylie and reveal his secret? And how will she react when he does?
Sisters In Bloom is the second book in the Snow
Sisters, Love In Bloom Series. I fell in love with the characters in the
first book and was really excited to hear that it was part of a nine book
series. There’s just something about
finishing a good book and knowing that the story doesn’t end when you read the
last page. I love knowing that there is
another book to look forward to and that I can continue to get to know the
characters. Sisters In Bloom is full of love, emotions and over-coming
struggles. It’s the perfect book to curl
up on the couch (on a cool Fall day) and read cover to cover in one
sitting. High praise for this amazing
book. I would definitely recommend it to
others and think that it would be a great book club choice (and would promote
lots of discussion)!

Hi, Marlene! I enjoyed your review today and am looking forward to reading Melissa’s novels. I also very happy to hear that Melissa is so involved with the Hospital for Sick Children. We have a wonderful place here in Southwest Florida that treats children with cancer. I have worked with authors and publishers to encourage them to donate children’s and young adult books to the hospital. If we can take the patients’ minds off themselves and their illnesses for just a little while as they get carried away in a book, that’s less time that they are suffering. Three cheers for you, Melissa!
ReplyDeleteConnie,
DeleteI couldn't agree more. Being a mother who had a child with cancer, I can say firsthand how much the atmosphere of the hospital has on the children and families there. Melissa Foster is not only an extremely talented author, she really has a heart of gold and gives back to her community.
**Waves** Hi Connie and Marlene! Sorry to be late to the party today and Connie, I'm so glad you stopped by to read Marlene's review. I hope you enjoy the Snow Sisters whenever you have time to read (aren't we lucky that books don't have expiration dates!).
DeleteWhen I donated the murals my thought was that sick children shouldn't have to look at white walls. It's scary enough being in the hospital. A little color goes a long way xox
