Jane Porter's Brennan Sister Series & Giveaway

It's no secret that I just love Jane Porter's books.  I remember seeing her book, Mrs. Perfect, at the store and thinking ... 'this looks like my type of book!'  Needless to say, I not only read it in one sitting, but I also ended up buying all of her previous books that same day!  There's just something about her writing that makes you feel like she's writing for you.  There's no way you can read a Jane Porter book and not feel like you're part of the story.

Two years ago, I had the honor of meeting Jane.  I had no clue what to expect as I had never met an author before (none the less my favorite author), but she was so kind and down to earth.  After talking to her for just a few minutes, I felt like I had known her all my life.  She has a way of making you feel so comfortable and you leave her knowing that this is someone you are going to be friends with for a long time.
In February, I had the honor of hosting Jane in my area for The Good Daughter book tour.  Over 20 of my friends came to welcome Jane to Albany, New York.  It was such a fun night of books, old friends, new friends and food.  I even surprised Jane with a cake that I had ordered to look like The Good Daughter book.  I not only wanted to celebrate her new book, but also her birthday which was a few days after the event.  I strongly suggest that, if you get the opportunity to meet Jane, do yourself a favor and go.  I promise that you will thank me for it.  She is not only a talented writer, she is such a kind soul.
For those of you who haven't heard of Jane, or maybe just never read one of her books, she is about to publish the third book in her Brennan Sisters series.  The first two books, The Good Woman and The Good Daughter have already been released.  The third book, The Good Wife, is being released on September 3rd.  I am hosting a giveaway for the first two books in her series.  One lucky winner will get the opportunity to win both!  But wait, there's more :)  On September 16th, Jane will be stopping by Book Mama for her Good Wife blog tour.  There will not only be an interview, but Jane will also be giving away a copy of her new book to one lucky winner.  Oh yes, you read that right.  You can win the first two books ... right here, right now ... and then come back on Sept 16 and enter to win her new book.

As with all of my giveaways, you must be a member of this blog (there is a blue tab on the right that says JOIN THIS SITE.  Click on that to join.).  Also, you can enter the giveaway once daily until it ends.  For U.S residents only.

    1. Thanks, Lauren. I agree :) Have you read Jane's books before? If so, which is your favorite? That's not really a fair question. If someone asked me that, it would be equivalent to asking who my favorite child is ;)

    1. She really is an amazing person. I'm hoping to see her when she's in NJ in the fall. It'll be a couple hours drive, but well worth it to spend time with her.

  8. Over the years I have enjoyed many of her category books with sheiks, Greeks and Italians! The Frog Prince and Flirting With Forty too. This year we have been plagued with house repairs: flooded basement, broken water heater, broken furnace, leaky roof and the list goes on. I was never superstitious before but 2013 sure has us jinxed!

Due to these unplanned expenses I have had to cut back on my book buying. I would love to read Jane's latest series. I haven't read The Good Daughter or The Good Woman.

In her blog Jane comes across as a very open, friendly person. I too hope to meet her some day. I believe she's in Hawaii now. I'm jealous!

Thanks for the chance to win the first two books in The Good series! Your Albany group looks great. How often do you get together?
